The Appetizer
Southwest: #1 Kansas vs #11 VCU, 2:20 PM, CBS
For Kansas this is a repeat of the 2008 regional final where they faced #10 seeded Davidson only VCU does not appear to have anyone as good as Stephen Curry. I know VCU has made an incredible run but I just don’t see them getting by. Kansas will likely move on to face Butler which would mean should Kansas reach the title game, that matchup will be their first of the 2011 NCAA Tournament against a team seeded higher than #8.
If Kansas loses it will be shades of 2006 and George Mason.
VCU playing tough…
Sidemote..these kids are in college right and a student fulltime.. it always amazes me the amount of tatoos thses kids have in college.. ?? tatoos are not cheap..how do they pay for them..some of the players are covered and they are detailed tatoos ……..it is interesting..seriously..
Look at shaka on the sidelines..
I saw one of KM ‘s post stating he does not look like Shaka..LOL
Did anyone else think this game was over at 6-0 KU?
ya i did . I was actually thinking of going out
GO VCU
This is unbelievable. VCU outhustles KU on every play and they’re knocking down shots.

VCU has opened a can of whoop a on KU!
Looked like Kansas player was already shedding tears in the first half! Shaka is shocking!
they are struggling with free throws too..
Shaka lives and dies on every possesion with his team..love it..go rams!!
Dreaming of a UNC/VCU final… The transition battle would be an absolute thrill to watch.
Sounds like a good dream to me….

Can imagine Charles’s comments..
Self is fixing to go bob knight on his team..
Man, what a story! VCU was a play in team, right? This is awesome. I’ve had a soft spot for these guys for a while now, ever since they knocked Duke off in the 07 tourney.
That and I’ve got family in/from Richmond.
What a game!
VCU hanging tough

Great win for VCU..
That brightness you see across the basketball landscape is the reflection of the ear to ear smiles of the NCAA Selection Committee.
